RESEARCH LEAD

MAXINE CROMAR-HAYES

Maxine Cromar-Hayes is a lecturer at the University of Liverpool. Maxine worked for the NHS for 14 years before entering Higher Education. Maxine’s clinical background is acute and high secure care.

Maxine is the programme lead for the MSc in Mental Health Nursing; her responsibilities are to ensure the design and delivery of high-quality learning opportunities for students on the programme. She provides strategic oversight and direction of the programme.  She strives to provide an authentic experience which sees people with lived experience being involved in every facet of the programme as well as bringing in highly valued clinicians who have the shared goal of trying to educate value-based nurses of the future; who will be genuinely work alongside those receiving health and social care services.

Maxine is currently the research sub-group lead, here Maxine brings people together to focus on setting research tasks that the group have decided upon as well as encouraging people to talk about individual research aims, with the hope of them making connections to support the development of research within and beyond the group.
